12/06/12 - JEZ LOWE & THE BAD PENNIES, DONCASTER CIVIC THEATRE (7.30PM)
Jez Lowe’s 'Songs of the Radio Ballads'
Fifty years on from the great muse MacColl...
Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies perform a selection of Jez's own songs written for the 2006 Sony Radio Award Winning BBC Series, 'The Radio Ballads' alongside some of Ewan MacColl's songs from the original programmes broadcast back in the 1950s and '60's - with selective narrative, archive photos and video footage of the people and places at the heart of these historical broadcasts.
