Gigs at The Leopard - October to December 2009

26:09:09 - Loaded @ Camelots

26:09:2009...

The Venue: Camelots. The newly refurbished church based Doncaster nightclub is back and set to become the region's best clubbing venue.

The Night: Loaded - A journey through 3 decades of UK Indie & Alternative music - everything from Joy Division to The Smiths, Stone Roses, right through to the Arctic Monkeys and The Cribs.

The new monthly Saturday alternative club night will celebrate '30 Years of Britrock' in the newly refurbished town centre venue which re-opened in August.

Organisers Ben Hales and Wayne Newitt hope to recreate a Hacienda type atmosphere in the place. "We just think it's such a great venue, and the new sound and light systems are looking really promising".

The next few months look to be very interesting in that area of town - work has now begun opposite on the new £300m Civic & Cultural Quarter.

What's more, at a fraction of the cost it's the latest concept on the festival scene and won't put a hole in your pocket!! Featuring our live music stage, Green Village with treasure hunt, green maze and elements workshops for the younger ones, licensed bar for the older ones, funfair, food, arts and craft stalls. 360
8-piece band who've been shifting and changing lineups for some years now! Although the band are visibly influence by Ska and Reggae music, the flavours of melodic Rock in their songs add a new dimension to the sound and show them to be notably innovative. As the sound evolves, the band's popularity has stretched our from their hometown of Birmingham and across the UK in all directions...
