This year there will be an exciting new race, taking in Doncaster Racecourse, Town Moor and the town centre. Runners will be 'chip timed' and receive a free running T-shirt. We're pleased to be the first to bring you a map of the route.

May 2012 - The Elephant in the Room @ The Point

Doncaster's Sand House, a large dwelling carved into sandstone, was famous between 1850 until WW2. 'Sand House - The Elephant in the Room' exhibition recreates carvings from the house including a 40-tonne 'Elephant and Mahout' and arrives at The Point in May.

The exhibition will also feature a time-lapse video showing the ‘Elephant & Mahout’ being carved by artist Jamie Wardley. He will also be running school and family workshops and training days for artists interested in carving.

At Mansion House on Thursday 16th February from 1.30pm, Richard Bell will present an illustrated talk entitled ‘The Sand House – A Victorian Marvel’ followed by a book signing session of ‘The Sand House – A Victorian Marvel Revisited’, written by Richard Bell and Peter Tuffrey. This musical extravaganza will be once again be hosted by the fabulous ELECTRA, the UK’s top female multi-tribute band. The 5 stunning girls will perform 10 tribute acts with energetic dance routines, crazy costumes and LIVE diva vocals.

Plus this year we are thrilled to introduce Dolly Mix, Doncaster’s own up and coming girl band. 3 beautiful girls with amazing vocals performing LIVE.

And as well as the top class performances there will be a 2 course meal, a raffle, auction and the opportunity to have your picture taken – the perfect accompaniment to an unforgettable evening of entertainment.
